Anytime, Maurice. I'm not as good as Bill, but I'm still here!

Still miss that guy bunches. Hardly a week goes by I don't want to pick
up the phone and call Bill.

Morris,
So it’s standard time that California voted on? Didn’t know that. But I do know
that all three states need to get together and agree before the Fed will allow
it to happen. I’d hate to have to switch time driving north/south across the
borders.

Dear Dave, slight correction here. California voters voted to leave at daylight
savings time and a statewide ballot measure in 2018. The state must apply to
the federal government to leave daylight savings time and/or standard time and
pick one time. But the boat, ballot measure at that time stated clearly that
the state wished to leave daylight savings time. I don’t know about Oregon, and
I don’t know about Washington state. I can only tell you what we voted on in
2018. For the record the measure passed by a two to one margin.

Sincerely Maurice Mines.

There are many places in the world that don’t observe Daylight Saving Time. In
addition to Iceland, both Arizona and Hawaii in the United States observe
Standard time year-round. The eastern half of Indiana at one time did not
switch to DST, but I think that is no longer the case, as the entire state of
Indiana is now in the Eastern time zone.
I’m sure there are many others.

Tim,

This is a good suggestion, however London time is not always the same as UTC.
Today London is on GMT, which is the same as UTC. Starting Sunday March 29,
London switches to British Summer Time (BST),) which is one hour ahead of

2020-03-27 Thread Dave Carlson
We in Washington, Oregon, and California are seriously considering applying to
the Federal Government to stop the madness and just go to Daylight Savings Time
all year round. I’m looking forward to it happening in my lifetime.

Re: Question please regarding the option-t time check

2020-03-27 Thread Brad Snyder

2020-03-27 Thread Brad Snyder
Here's a workaround I've discovered.
Iceland is on GMT and does not observe daylight savings time. if possible, set
your location to Reykjavík, and your clock should display UTC year-round.

I'm not sure if there's a simple resolution to this question. on my iPhone, I
use the world clock. I don't think this is available on a Mac.

Hi,

Yeah you have to edit the script. For me it’s in

Just scrolling through the script, I think you can remove these lines:

-- readjust for 12 hour time
if (currentHour > 12) then
set currentHour to (currentHour - 12)
end if

Hope that helps.

Re: Question please regarding the option-t time check

2020-03-26 Thread John Panarese
I’m guessing you’d have to directly edit the script itself. I am not sure
where that is now being saved. I’d have to poke around, but then the question
of editing the script would be next.

Question please regarding the option-t time check

2020-03-26 Thread Paul Parravano
I’m hoping someone might know how to change this time announcement to 24 hour
time? I’ve set 24 hour in both the date and time section, and language and
region section.

Thanks for any guidance.

Paul
