I wasn't using Symantha. I was using Alex all along. Chris. - Original Message - From: "Shawn Krasniuk" To: Sent: Sunday, July 24, 2011 1:43 PM Subject: Re: Adium! Will, you? shut? up?! Hey Chris. I've noticed this glitch when I have Samantha as my default voice for Voice Over. If you don't want to switch to Alex, I find that when you press control twice as Voice Over is speaking, Adium behaves as it should. But if you don't want this problem, I'd suggest you use Alex until this glitch is cleared up. HTH. Re: Adium! Will, you? shut? up?!
You know, it's strange, because in Skype, I have it set to tell me when people sign in and out, and it never spits things out all at once. Now, YoruFukurou on the other hand? It always speaks tweets even when hidden down in my dock, and yes, under the prefs notifications, I have it said to not use growl, so I'm totally perplexed on that, but that I can definitely! tell you isn't a Lion issue, as it did the same thing in SL. It won't run them all together, thank god, but look, if you had 30 or 40 things happen while you were gone, you're gonna then have to wait for those 30/40 things to get done speaking, and forget trying to shut it up with the control key. I thought perhaps this was just a glitch, and so didn't write in earlier about it, but it's seeming to persist.
