if nothing else, try opening the app using Siri. Or, another option would be to
use spotlight.

2016-05-13 Thread Simon Fogarty
If you have the standard IOS menu layout it will be on the second screan of
apps under the extra folder, along with contacts and calculater etc.

I've got the same device and that is where mine is found.

Subject: Does IOS 9 or El Capitan have the voice memo app?

Hello All,

I have a 6S Plus and don’t have an app called voice memo. A friend tells me it
is a standard app that is a part of IOS. I looked on the app store and don’t
see an app of that name by Apple. A Google search gives me plenty of guides to
use this simple app but no idea how to get it on my phone. Is it an app that
has been removed from the standard distribution of IOS?

If it has been removed. What do you recommend to make voice recordings that
maintain a quality audio recording while keeping the file size down. I know
that people are using roger but the recipient of my voice memos / recordings
does not want to install another app.

As I have a very good microphone connected to my Mac mini I’ve been using
QuickTime but I can’t reduce the file size to send via email.

Looking forward to hearing your responses.

Thanks,

Gena
