Yes, mirroring is the process of keeping two copies in synchronization with 
each other.

thanks. I did get that far but I don’t understand what some of these choices

You need to go to menu extra, find Google drive and vo+space on it.  You will 
be presented with a number of choices.  Press “more” and you should be in the 
preferences for Google Drive.  There you can determine whether your files sync 
and are available off-line.

or anything.

1.  Go into your Application folder (CMD + Shift + A).
2.  Look for Backup and Sync from Google.app, and press CMD +O, to restart the 
application.
