Thanx for the tip, finally got it working. Now I just wish we could burn all
those tracks to disc, sense I won't be keeping the service after my tryal
period is up, sense I unfortunately can't afford to pay for it after that, but
it's all good though.

2015-07-14 Thread Jessica Moss
Oh wow, thanx for the info. I didn't have my Icloud music option checked, so
that could've been a part of the problem.
I was trying to do this using my IPhone, so not sure how that differs, but
will have a look at it now that I've turned that on and it's now taking what
seems like an eternity to upload my music.

Re: Having issues adding songs to a playlist in apple music.

2015-07-14 Thread Rachel Feinberg

Hi,

I've only just come to kind of, sort of, get a grip with the playlists
in Apple Music- so I can try to help!
I go to the "new" button in iTunes, and select that I want a new
playlist. then it puts me in a scroll area, (if doing this on the Mac),
and you interact with that. You then have the name of your playlist as a
header, and another area. you'll want to interact with the header. you
get options like, play, shuffle, and so on. In this case, you want to
find the "edit" button. Then you can add songs or albums to the list.
You'll want to make sure your iCloud music library is checked, as it
seems Apple Music and your own music must be in there, in order for a
playlist to be created.
to do this, go to preferences (command+comma), and in the general area,
make sure you're signed into the same apple ID that you have the music
membership with, and make sure that iCloud library is checked.
Assuming all that checks out, you are back in what Voiceover calls the
"album grid". Choose an album that you want from there, and vo+shift+M
on it to get additional options.
One of these is "add to playlist submenu" assuming you have other
playlists. If you vo+space on that, you should (in theory), see all the
playlists you have, including the empty one you're now trying to fill
with songs. Do this with as many albums as you want, and scroll all the
way to the right when finished to hit the "done" button.
If everything is working as it should be, your playlist should appear in
the "playlists" tab in apple Music.

Good luck!
Rachel.

Hi,
unfortunately I can’t help but I can confirm having issues like you described.
Here it happened several times that playlists didn’t apear on the iphone even
though it was on the Mac and just filled with songs from Apple Music. I
unchecked iCloud in iTunes settings and checked it again. Now the playlists
were on my iPhone but lost all 60 songs I already added. Very annoying and
frustrating.
