I like Code Swift, but I wouldn’t sell your iPad.  Code Swift does not allow 
you to type code that is not part of the exercises.  After you get done with 
the tutorial, you may want to experiment with Swift Playgrounds on the iPad.

I’ve just been playing with an app for the iPhone,
called “Code Swift”,


It’s a very cool little app that breaks Swift coding down to chapters 
And gives you error break downs and if needed video help from the developer of 
the application.

It’s free and so far very easy to follow.
I don’t know if there is an iPad version but this is a great option if you 
don’t have one or don’t want to take your tablet with you.
