I don't own one. I only know what I read on forms and in some of the technical
press, and no, I don't mean Apple fan mags.
People have complained about lousy connectivity with home automation devices
and lack of updates. Like I said, I don't own one. Also lack of ports was
another complaint for a $200 device.

OnHub has been updated constantly since release last year and works with
Google Wi-Fi. In addition to the super Wi-Fi, mesh network, family time,
on.here: it has excellent mobile apps with great accessibility. It's
ability to prioritize traffic, see usage stats over *any* time, and details
for *any* device. It has great third-party integration as well! e.g. IFTTT,
Philips Hue, etc.

OK, there are some choices in there, although I personally would not do the
Google thing, given that they came out with something last year, and never came
through with the updates that were supposed to happen. At least I would wait on
it. Anyway, my main interest has to do with your play. I wouldn't mind getting
a newer router then my old extreme, because there are routers and we all have
devices that support better protocols. But I still use airplay heavily. And I'm
not ready to give up several thousand dollars worth of stereo equipment that I
put to good use every day.

I chose the Netgear AC1900 over the AC5300 because it was $100
