Re: Clickable items in Safari

2015-06-08 Thread christopher hallsworth
It means the text can be interacted by clicking with the mouse. Unfortunately,
it depends on the webmaster coding the site whether VoiceOver can activate the
clickable text or not.

Re: Clickable items in Safari

2015-06-08 Thread Caitlyn Furness
these are things where if a sighted person hovers the mouse over them, you get
choices.

If you do a vo shift m on them, you will get a menu to make choices from in
regards to the clickable item.

Re: Clickable items in Safari

2015-06-07 Thread Anne Robertson
Hello Jean,

Often, clickable items are places where either a mouse hover or a mouse click
will change what is shown on the page. Try bringing the mouse with VO-Cmd-F5
and doing a VO-Shift-Space type of click and see whether new items have
appeared.

Cheers,

Anne

Vo-space should work. If not, move to the item, press vo-cmd-f5 (you might need
to add the function key as well), and then click the mouse. If you lack a
mouse, use vo-shift-space to simulate a click.

Try vo shift m.

alternatively, you can try option enter.

If neither of those things works, try using the track pad to click on the items.

Hi Alex,

Have tried your suggestions, and unless I'm doing something wrong, which is
definitely possible--I'm still not getting anywhere. I've tried every key
combination possible, but I can't get the system to make the mouse click that I
am used to hearing after the F5 trick...VO space isn't doing anything either.

Thanks for any other suggestions.
