RE: iOS 12.1

If your getting a request to update to 12.1 then your running on a public beta
or dev beta either rway it’s not production.

Hi,

I've only seen 12.0.1 as an update so far and haven't had any issues to note.
12.0.1 fixes problems with charging the iPhone XS amongst some other minor
tweaks. If yours is indeed asking for 12.1, then I'm not sure.

RE: iOS 12.1

2018-10-18 Thread Simon Fogarty
Actually,

Public betas are bound by a NDA from apple also.

So before you go jumping into something you shouldn’t yes Public beta is
currently 12.1 production is 12.0.1

I run the PB 12.1 on my phoe and yes I had to agree to a NDA and also respect
the rules of this list.

2018-10-17 Thread 'E.T.' via MacVisionaries

Andrew,
First, some people do not understand that if one did not agree to
something, one is not bound by the NDA. You are not on the hook.

Second, I checked the punctuation bug. Intriguing. All punctuation
works right. Some punctuation, which I use, is messed up. But don't
blame Alex, blame the beta testers. Just kidding. Samantha gets it wrong
too.

2018-10-17 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

Thanks for the article. Personally, I don't believe that I've experienced the
dropped calls, the lost WiFi, and my battery life on my XS is fine. This is
not saying that the article is fake, just that I don't seem to be experiencing
these issues that I can tell. Regarding whether to update or not, in my
opinion, go ahead and update. The majority of the problems sited here were
simply things that the presenter said were not fixed. Thus, you shouldn't see
much of a difference from 12.0 to 12.0.1. As mentioned, there's no way of
going backwards to 11.4.1 if you've already installed 12 and if you have an XS,
it has to be 12 or newer.

Re: iOS 12.1

2018-10-17 Thread 'Shawn Krasniuk' via MacVisionaries
Hi Andrew. It's an honest mistake. If you're using the Alex voice, he reports
12.0.1 as 12 dot point 1. This bug was also present in iOS 11.0.1 and I'm
surprised that it hasn't been fixed ever since then.

Shawn,

Firstly, I want to apologise. I’ve made aa mistake referring in my previous

Here iss a link to an article warning against updating to 12.0.1.

2018-10-17 Thread 'Tim Kilburn' via MacVisionaries
Hi,

I've only seen 12.0.1 as an update so far and haven't had any issues to note.
12.0.1 fixes problems with charging the iPhone XS amongst some other minor
tweaks. If yours is indeed asking for 12.1, then I'm not sure.

being chastised. For goodness sake.
