I have seen this and I am not sure of a solution. I speculate it is an issue with the imap connection and I may be wrong, but if imap, you are seeing this with Gmail then. I understand and I have not seen it happen to often, but when it does, it makes one nuts. I have not seen this much lately and I'm trying to recall what I did to resolve the problem or at least something I did must have helped. If I can recall, I will let you know. they are regular inboxes and I made rules for them that mail applies at start up. or when it checkes messages. I am wondering if this is the problem? You know if you make labels in gmail, they will be sorted in the web view also. It almost sounds like you're using pop if you have rules on your local machine separating out the mail? I made labels for all my different lists, and I haven't experienced this. HI, I've also seen this problem. I assumed that it was just a latency problem between the client and the server. No I am using imap. I created the folders on the imap server and have mail rules sorting them. Works really good.
