Re: niki plus

2010-08-15 Thread Chris Moore
Just go to your local sports wear retailer and ask for Nike+ ready sneakers. A
whole range support Nike+ such as Nike Air Max etc. They also might stock the
sensor there too, Nike+ sneakers come in a full range of sizes. You can also
buy the Nike+ sensor from Apple either from their online store or in their
retail stores. If you have an iPhone then you only need to purchase the
sensor, if you intend to use the Nike+ system with the iPod Nano instead then
you will need the Nike+ Sports Kit which includes the add on which connects to
the bottom of the iPod nano (iPhone already has this built in).

The only thing you need to set on your treadmill is the speed and incline you
feel comfortable with.

I'm telling you Chris. So, do I have to connect the sensor to my I phone and
do I just press the screen on the treadmill to get to know what is happening?

Thanks chris, that will be appreciated.

Very easy to use, I like the calorie target mode. You get regular

Re: niki plus

2010-08-14 Thread Chris Moore
Hi Michael,

I am not sure how far away the iPhone can be from the sensor in the
sneaker/trainer. My iPhone sits in a docking area on my treadmill, I do not
keep it in my pocket. Nike+ ready footwear has a small pouch located under the
inner sole of the left trainer/sneaker. You lift the inner sole out, gently
remove the foam in the pocket and then replace the foam with the sensor. You
might want to keep the foam filler in case you want to wear the trainers when
you are not training. Every time you walk you are using the battery inside the
sensor, so best to remove the sensor when you are not training, but if you only
wear the trainers for working out then it is fine to leave the sensor in. You
get over 1000 hours of use, so probably about 3 years or so.

I hope this answers your questions.

Very easy to use, I like the calorie target mode. You get regular prompted
updates to tell you how you are doing and if you are getting close to your
target. This saves you having to look/press the screen to find out what is
going on. You then get a summary of everything at the end of your workout.

So far I am very happy with my purchases.

are many different types of shoes that go from reasonable to very

if you had a pedometer. Let me know if you have further questions.

2010-08-13 Thread Michael Thurman
can you please explain what you get with the nikee shoes? does the sensor fit
into the shoe in a special pouch or something do you have to put the i phone in
a pocket too, or can you leave it connected to your stereo or whatever across
the room? or via bluetooth. if I get an I phone I will get the bt dongle for my
home theater reciever as well and might the nikee sensor sounds like fun!

2010-08-13 Thread Kawal Gucukoglu
Hi Chris.

As stated I have a treadmill which is not accessible, I an't see the menus so
wish to know do you think all you have bought could work on mine? I bought
this Treadmill from Argus so it's a main stream one.

Kawal.
