I have lion on all 3 of my macs, it's working well for me, a few minor issues,
but nothing that prevents me from doing what I need to, I think you will be
fine with the upgrade.

Re: should I switch to Lion?

2011-09-22 Thread Chris Blouch
Yup. I gave MacFuse a good try and could not get it to work. It seems to
have withered on the vine such that anyone with a newer OS can't get it
to run. Hopefully someday someone will give it some love but for now
either standalone FTP apps or using the terminal are the best way to
upload via FTP.

Of course, there is a little downside to not upgrading. The longer

Re: should I switch to Lion?

2011-09-21 Thread Karen Lewellen
Perhaps the better question for you and the other seeker is this. Is
there anything you cannot presently do with the mac you have in the os you
use?
A mac is not like windows, you need not upgrade just because Gates got gas as
the joke goes. If your needs are met, then the answer is no. after all no
one is using your computer to do the tasks you enjoy. if a critical need
is not being met well, than perhaps the question to ask is if that need is
being met better under Lion than where you are now. Does that make sense?

Karen.
