When attempting to choose items to copy or instance, please do the following
hold down the shift key then use the up, Down arrow cheese to select the items
you wish to move, or copy. I hope this helps?
Another command that might be helpful to copy hold the command key down and
then press the letter c along with the command key. In order to past the item
in the new location, hold the shift key down and press the v key and the items
that you selected earlier, well show up in the new location.

Re: Selecting Multible files on mac

2020-09-12 Thread Jonathan Cohn
The other thing I can think of is the search functionality. pressing
control-option-F should bring you to the search entry area. If you want to
select all mp3 files, you should be able to type mp3 press down arrow twice.
Then check your filters to make sure you are searching just in downloads, and
not in the hard disk. I believe you can put dates into the search tool too.
Since you specifically mention downloads folder, in case this is your issue,
you can set up downloads to be automatically deleted after a period of time.

Best wishes,

Jonathan Cohn

2020-09-12 Thread Lorie McCloud
here's how to select multiple files in a folder that aren't next to each other.
1. open the folder where the files are and interact.
2. vo-arrow down until you hit the first file you want to include and press
vo-command-enter. this will select the file.
3. continue to vo-arrow down. each time you hit a file you want to include,
press vo-command-enter on it and it will be included.
4. press command-c to copy them all before you leave the folder.

Herbie has a good idea; but what about using the shift plus the down arrow key
…what makes it difficult for you is that you have to skip files; but shift plus
the down arrow will help somewhat.

Re: Selecting Multible files on mac

2020-09-12 Thread Herbie Allen
One suggestion I have is if the amount of other files is less, select those,
move them elsewhere, then do a select all on the remaining files.

Hello Mustafa,

I’m afraid there is no other way of selecting files apart from the one you
already know.

Selecting Multible files on mac

2020-09-12 Thread Ramy Moustafa Saber
Hi all:
Need to select more than 90 files in my downloads folder, using VO+Cmd+retyrn
and arrows is very difficult, so, is there an easier way to select multible
files at once? of cores the folder contains other files, so, need to select
only the files wanted.
Thanks in advance
