Re: Snow Leopard and Fusion

2009-08-26 Thread Moi Lejter

According to their web pages, Fusion 2.0.5 will work with Snow Leopard
-
though they say that it's only experimental, since all they had was a
seed...
They talk about it here:

(page down to the entry for June 23, 2009).

Assuming Fusion works ok under Snow Leopard, there should be no effect
on your Windows installation. According to VMWare, Fusion 2.0.5 and
higher is supposed to run on 32-bit Snow Leopard.

Re: Snow Leopard and Fusion

2009-08-26 Thread James Nash

From what I've read, SL will default into 32-bit for all machines except
X-Server machines. Although there are some machines where you can force SL
to boot into a 64-bit kernel but I'm not sure if this will be a complete
64-bit boot. Which MacBook Pro do you have as I do not think that the 13in
is included in the list of machines that can boot into 64-bit.

And honestly from all I have been reading, a lot will depend on the
apps your running and it was further explained that most users
wouldn't notice any difference if SL was running 32 or 64 bit.
