Hi,

I just upgraded my work Macbook to SnowLeopard and discovered a bit of a
problem with the Eclipse IDE (www.eclipse.org).

I should start of by saying that I am using the Carbon build because I find the
Cocoa build a bit unresponsive with VoiceOver.
A good example of this is when using the Cocoa version, try creating a new Java
class, the page that appears asking for the package, class name, checkboxes for
abstract and final, etc, as you tab around the page there is a definite delay
between pressing tab and VoiceOver announcing where you have landed. I'm not
entirely sure of the cause of this, but I have heard reports of the screen
taking a while to redraw so maybe this is a non visual symptom of the same
problem.

So back to the carbon build, I unpacked the latest Eclipse Classic 3.5 on a
fresh install of SnowLeopard 10.6.1 and launched it. I hit control + option +
m to bring up the menu bar and was met with a bleep. It appears that this
standard keyboard shortcut cannot be used to reach the menu bar in Eclipse,
even though this works with the exact same version of Eclipse on Leopard
10.5.8. I also tried this on earlier developer builds of SnowLeopard with no
problem, so this is a recent issue.
Before I go ahead and file a bug with Apple, I was wondering if anyone has
encountered this same issue.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Mitch
