Could you clarify what you’re trying to do that the Mac OS firewall doesn’t achieve here? I don’t know what hosts file you’re referring to, either. Is it /etc/hosts? I used to download an updated hosts file to keep the computer safe from bad actors. The download would work on both Windows and Mac.
