Re: VMWare Fusion, Voice Over and setting up keys

2009-05-16 Thread Alex Jurgensen

Hi,

The easiest is to map "Insert" to the "`" key.

Thanks,
Alex,

Re: VMWare Fusion, Voice Over and setting up keys

2009-05-16 Thread Mike Arrigo

Since you have a mac book, I'm not sure how to get around the insert
key issue, but I can help you with the right mouse issue. First, I
would go in to the keyboard and mouse part of system preferences, and
choose the keyboard commands tab. Turn off the expose and dash board
keys. Once this is done, you can use shift f10 to open the context
menu, that's how I do it and it works fine.

Re: VMWare Fusion, Voice Over and setting up keys

2009-05-15 Thread Alex Jurgensen

Hi,

Most people make the second Option or Enter key to insert. One thing I
have done is used Fussions remap tool to remap "`" to insert.

Thanks,
Alex,

Re: VMWare Fusion, Voice Over and setting up keys

2009-05-15 Thread Scott Rutkowski

Hi there.

Can you please explain to people like myself who haven't used sharpkey's is
this piece of software so you can tell fusion that you want to use some key
on the keyboard as an insert key like in window eyes or jaws?
I hear on a macbook function m is meant to work as an insert key but it
doesn't work at all for me.
All I am wanting to do is to have some kind of a key set up as an insert key
so I guess sharpkey's will allow this?

Thanks all.

Hay there mike. I'm running VM ware also I'm using XP with jaw's and I
had to do some kiey re mapping also. One program to do this wiuck you
could give a try is called sharpkey's. I can't exactiley remember the
websight for it but if you google sharptkey's you will find the sight
for it and you should be able then to fixx your key mapping problem's
with window eyes.
I hope this helps.

VMWare Fusion, Voice Over and setting up keys

2009-05-15 Thread Michael Busboom
Please excuse the cross-posting, but I very much need some assistance and
want to reach as many people as possible.

I recently installed VMWare Fusion on my Mac Book, because there are two
programs that I need professionally, and they only run under Windows. I use
Window-Eyes as my Windows screen reader. I can get Windows to work, and
Window-Eyes is merrily chatting away, too.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to get around the Windows right
mouse click issue and all those commands where Window-Eyes uses the Insert
key. If there is a FAQ or if there are any special programs I would need to
install to make this all come together, I would be more than grateful. I am
thinking that what I want to accomplish may necessitate a lot of remapping
keys. Besides the Insert and right mouse clicks, are there any other
gotchas that I need to be aware of?

My very best to all of you and thanks so much in advance,

Mike
