Re: Violin Tuning App

2018-11-26 Thread Eileen Scrivani
I use an app that I launch by saying “launch Talking Tuner”. I would search for
Talking Tuner in the app store. And, if that doesn’t work when you search the
app store, try “Hot Paw talking tuner.” Sorry, it was my husband who originally
purchased the app so I’m a bit uncertain of the exact name for purchasing it.

It has the exact features you mention. It will state the note name sharp &/or
flat and will tell how much it is off by in a percentage. It will also tell you
when you’re dead on the note.

Good luck.

Eileen

Perhaps this is a long shot but I was hoping to get a recommendation on
a violin tuning app. I have an iPhone and an iBook Pro so either IOS or
MacOs recommendations will work.

What I am hoping for is an app that uses the microphone to listen to the
note I am playing and tells me whether it is too high or too low. Tha's
the big challenge for an amateur like myself.
