Yes, I experience this as well. But only if I use the EarPods. I guess the 
microfone is too close to the headphone. So try to use another headphone best 
not a headset but a simple headphone.

That would certainly do it, though this should not be on by default.
It is possible to share your screen, without sharing your computer’s sound, if 
that is what you need to do.

I use Zoom with VoiceOver on my Mac quite extensively, and have never 
experienced this problem
Makes me wonder what kind of headphones/microphone you are using.

When using the mac with zoom, VO is transmitting to the meeting even when using 
headphones.  The only way to stop this is to mute my audio.
