Re: Where To Ehnter New Router Password?

2015-12-06 Thread Eileen Scrivani
Jeff,

Thank you. I don’t know why but the dialog did not pop up after I selected the
router’s name. Even after restarting the computer it took quite some time and
finally, finally the dialog you describe came up.

For future reference, It is also under system preferences, under network, but
at first I was not even finding the necessary password field there for quite
some time. I don’t know why this computer is so slow to recognize a connection
like this.

All seems to be working fine now, so thanks again.

Hi Eileen, Go to the extras menu, hit enter on your router's name. A
dialog will pop up, the first item will be the password, followed by a
check box to remember the network, then join and cancel. Just type
your password, tab and check the box to remember the network, and tab
again and hit enter on join.
Hope this helps! Jeff

Hi Eileen, Go to the extras menu then wifi, hit enter on your router’s name. A
dialog will pop up, the first item will be password, type your password, hit
tab and check the box to remember that router, and then click on join.
Hope this helps! Jeff

Where To Ehnter New Router Password?

2015-12-06 Thread Eileen Scrivani
Hi All,

We just updated our home Router and while my Mac Book Pro recognizes the new
router name, I cannot locate where on the machine to enter the new password. I
am assuming this is necessary since without the password it keeps telling me I
don’t have service. I clearly see the new name in a table list, but not an
input area to type the pswd. This was under the Menus Extra YFi and also under
system preferences Network.

Thanks for any pointers to where I need to look.

Eileen
