strange adium issue

2011-05-08 Thread Mike Arrigo
Hey everyone, I'm wondering if anyone else is having any issues with adium. It
started yesterday, my contacts showed up, I could send them messages but
anything they sent me did not work. It's with an MSN messenger account. I can
log in to the account on msn.com without problems. Now today, when I open
adium, my contacts do not even show, even though it says it's connected. If I
use the socializer in system access in windows, things work fine. This all
started when I created an e buddy account so I could use messenger on my phone,
at this point, I'm not sure if that's causing the problem, though I don't think
it is, you can only be signed in to messenger once, if you try and sign in with
a second program, the first one is disconnected, just wondering if anyone else
is having any issues with adium, at this point, that seems like the most likely
suspect.

Re: strange adium issue

2011-05-08 Thread erik burggraaf
Well, I'm just wondering, because if I sign into my facebook account on the web
I see there are usually 4 or 5 people signed on, but if I sign into it with
adium over the last three weeks or so I get no contacts for my facebook account.

Could adium be failing? It's been a while since I've seen an update releace.

Re: adium issue

2009-09-08 Thread Chantel Cuddemi

Okay try this.
Try readding your account. Go to preferences, and go to the account
button.
From thee, you find your msn account. Interact with the accounts
table, find your msn account, and stop interacting with the table.
Then, go to the delete button, and press the yes button.

Re: adium issue

2009-09-08 Thread Matthew Campbell

I kind of fixed it.
I was talking to someone on Facebook chat and all of a sudden my MSN
contacts showed up.
I've been having programs do real random things today so hopefully it
won't do that again.
Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Hey all. chantel is having a problem where she was having
authroization issues a while back. and then when she found out how to
authorize people, the old authorizations won't disappear and this is
after she added the people a while ago.

think the dialog is just there now. it's always a choice in the menu.
when i looked in mine the request wasn't showing but it's still set up
like one would be there but it wasn't. hope that makes sense.

I even tried to authorize someone. It didn't work, even when I routed
the mouse to the button.
Boy, I think this is a major bug in adium.
Maybe we should report this as a bug.
