Re: browsing ical for events possible

2011-12-14 Thread Jürgen Fleger
Hi Ioana,

1. search for iCal Events on the internet and download the widget file. It
might be necessary to unzip it.
2. Copy the file - it's just one - to the folder: Macintosh HD/Libraries/Widgets

That's all.

All the best

Re: browsing ical for events possible with Snow Leopard?

2011-12-12 Thread CHUCK REICHEL
Hi Ioana list,
How do you get ical to display a certain date like for instance Wednesday the
9th of november or there about.
Sometimes I half to find out what actual day of the week a event took place to
fill in my Recording schedule.
Stated otherwise in my old datebook app i could set the view to Day and just
hit left or right arrow and it would announce with every arrow press, for
instance thursday the 4th of july and i would know what day of the week that
event occurred on.
If i knew that event happened on a friday it would display all the fridays in
that month and i could pick the exact date. :)

Thanks for any input.

When I open it in Dashboard I can set it in the info section to show maximum

Re: browsing ical for events possible

2011-12-11 Thread Ioana Gandrabur
Hi,

I looked at dashboard and found a ical widget but after clicking view
upcoming events I got a grid with days of current month with a link saying no
events for today. Is this the widget you were talking about? IF not, could you
tell me where and how to get it?
Thanks very much!
Ioana

 Hi Ioana,

to get a list of upcoming events is not possible in iCal. I use the Dashboard
widget iCal Event for that purpose.

 All the best

 HI all,

I looked on the internet for a guide to use ical with vo and found some good
info but no answer to my question about seeing something like a list of
 events like on the iphone.

Also, if I am not in ical and working in an other app, will I hear the
 alerts?

 Thanks,

 Ioana
