It doesn't mean that all the noises have to be muted. VO will stuill talk.

K try the wqarm reboot then which was the six presses of the sleep
button quickly.

Re: Lost all iPhone sounds including voiceover locational sounds

2013-06-23 Thread Tim Kilburn
Hi,

This sounds exactly like the mute switch is active like others have mentioned.
On the left side of all iPhones, just above the volume up button, there is a
physical slider switch. Slide the switch towards the face of the iPhone to
have all sounds for Ring-tones, Messages and other alerts active. Slide the
switch towards the back of the iPhone to mute these alert sounds. If vibration
is turned on, the vibration alerts will still occur but those ring-tones,
Message alerts and other alert sounds will remain silent. It's sort of like
"Manner Mode" on older flip-phones. When VoiceOver is turned on, all regular
speech will happen including VoiceOver announcing incoming calls but the sound
effects will be silent. Also, when VO is on, when this slider switch is slid
to the "Mute" position, VoiceOver will announce "Muted". If you have an iPhone
cover like the OtterBox, there is a flap that you must pull back in order to
access this slider switch.

Later...

Hi, Kevin and all.

I should have mentioned that we tried a soft reset And, that did not solve the
problem either. As of now, voiceover is speaking fine, but none of the
locational sounds or system sounds are working. This includes messages sounds
and other sounds in the lock screen, even though those notifications are turned

There is a switch on the Iphone 5. If that switch is in one position it
turns off sound if set in the other you don't hear your rings or much of

Hey Mark, not sure if this has been tried or not but I'll v entire an idea. Try

iPhone sounds.

2012-03-19 Thread jessica
Hi. If anyone has the factory installed sounds for the iPhone,
Like the sounds for when messages come in and the alarm and alert
sounds and also the ring tones, and any other sounds, Then can
you please send them to me off list at jessicabrown...@gmail.com.
Any generation of iPhone is ok. I do not have an iPhone, But my
friends do and I have heard there iPhones and I like the way they
sound. It may seem weird, But I would like to have them to listen
to. If the sound files are not in the proper format then that is
ok. I can use an online service to convert them to the format
they need to be in. Thank you.
