Re: rebuilding a mailbox in Apple Mail
Hello, Rebuilding will only make the version on your computer look like the version on the web assuming a IMAP mailbox is being used. It should make sure that the indexes that are used for the summaries are also matched correctly to the actual files that get created for each message. Did you set up any rules to move messages? Hi. I just tried rebuilding the mailbox on my Mac and still have the same amount of messages in my inbox like I did earlier. How long is this process supposed to take? I thought it was going to download more messages from the server and take a longer amount of time. Thanks. Katie > On May 25, 2022, at 12:10 PM, Kathryn Zodrow wrote: > > Okay great. Okay great. I’ll give that a try and see if that works on my Mac. Can you rebuild a mailbox on the iPhone? My accounts are synced between both devices and I’d like to get my other emails back on my phone that disappeared from my inbox.
