recording MP3s

2013-08-31 Thread Donna Goodin
Hi all,

I'm interested in recording a series of MP3s. Can those of you who have done
this tell me what software you have used?
Thanks,
Donna

Howdy,
It all depends on what purpose you'll be using the mp3's for, which will
determine the software.
Are you trying to, as an example, record a podcast? Or maybe a Skype call?
Please try and detail further your intent for recording MP3's if you can.
Generally, however, you can use things like AudioHighjack, or I think that
Amadeus Pro and light should be able to record. Someone correct me if I am
wrong.

Best thing would probably be, at least in my opinion, GarageBand.
You can pull up a new project template called Podcast, then use one of the
tracks already provided; female or mail voice track, then record that way.
It's how I usually do it anyway.
If anyone else has ideas they're welcome too.

Oh, interesting. Thanks for this, I just assumed I'd need something besides
Garage Band. I'll play around with that. thanks again for the suggestion.
Cheers,
Donna

Good luck.
Garage band will let you export by going to the share menu by pressing Command
then arrowing right to share, then export podcast to dsk, then following the
prompts to export to Mp3.
Once you export the podcast, Garageband will add artist info to your podcast
file.
