Re: rosetta stonesand voiceover?

2011-11-12 Thread Eric Caron
Hi Karen,

I am also a French language learner. I was told by several language
teachers that the Risetta Stone program was very visual. I suspect it is not
going to be a good tool for a blind language learner. I found the Pimsler
program worked well as it is all audio. Also The Michel Thomas Language
learning materials worked very well. I placed these materials on my iPhone as
audio books and they worked very well. I also used them in iTunes and on other
book readers.
If you want to discuss language resources off list feel free to contact
me. Also, if I'm wrong and Rosetta Stone works for you on the Mac I'd love to
know. I'm always looking for more resources.
If you have not done so you will also find in the iTunes store several
good podcasts for French learning. Again I can make recommendations if wanted.

The funny thing is that in major cities people give the programs away on

My goal is French, and I should likely seek a Canadian copy. very happy the
 program does the job though.

Surely do miss my Rosetta Languages; but, don't think I'll ever be able to
buy them again. They cost me way over $400.00 back in 2003!

Good luck, have fun with Rosetta; and, please let me how it is working out
