To answer your last question. Yes, the drive will be viewable on both Windows 
and Mac.
If your drive is USB, simply connect it as you would to any Windows PC, only 
you won't need to install drivers for it.
On your finder desktop, you should see the Mac drive, which may be Mac HD or 
whatever the default name normally is, and then your drive's name. Simply hit 
command plus o on your externals name and the external will come up.

viewing contents on an external harddrive

Hey guys,

I have an external harddrive that I wanna hook up to my mac.   It has a
bunch of music on it, etc.
How do I look at it, and bring up the various folders of stuff?  Also, I did
a lot of work on this drive with a PC, will it still be viewable on a mac?
