I've also seen this and you can bet Apple will address it. Unfortunately sometimes all the bugs don't get addressed in the update, but they do get to them. Hi, I have the same issues. In fact, I can't even rename regardless of what I do, not name it what I want when I create. Re: weird can't rename contact group in address book
Hello Yuma, I just want to let you know I am experiencing the same issues. I first encountered them when I updated to Snow Leopard. I contacted Apple and they confirmed that it is a bug. I was hoping for a fix with 10.6.2, but not for me. This is a VoiceOver issue. With sighted assistance, the groups can be created and renamed with no problem. According to other responses to your message, other lucky ones are not having this problem. I just want to let you know that you're not alone in this. Brett C. Re: weird can't rename contact group in address book
Hi; I just thought of something. When I open address book for the first time, I have to arrow over using vo right arrow until i hear group. Then I can arrow up and down or left and right. But there is a blank area between the group list and the name list. If you are there you can't do anything. And like i said if i'm on one of my group names i just press enter then type a new name and hit enter again and the name is changed. have you considered closing the app and reopening it. My mail and address book programs have both been a little unstable since the last lepard update. sorry i couldn't help. good luck, Max On Nov 10, 2009, at 10:33 PM, Yuma Antoine Decaux wrote: > > Really weird > > I've tried putting as list instead of column which is my preferred > display, and it puts me into a search field. so i have to > disinteract, and i get the same result. Re: weird can't rename contact group in address book
Really weird I've tried putting as list instead of column which is my preferred display, and it puts me into a search field. so i have to disinteract, and i get the same result. I wonder if i'm going somewhere else. If i navigated with VO, it would be the space right after toolbar right? Hey, it took me a while to get used to that one too. After you press the new group command just start typing your group name. I find it helpful to know what I'm going to call the group before i press the menu choice. weird can't rename contact group in address book
Hi Gang, I've been starting to play a bit more with my address book as i merged all my mail accounts adresses, and need to sort this nice mess out, but have stumbled upon something that seems like an inaccessible googaw of address book? When i am in the group list, i do shift command n for new group, and it doesn't ask me what to name it or anything. Then it is automatically created as untitled group. I go to edit then rename, but there is no cue as to how or where i should start typing the name. Am i doing something wrong here?
