[maemo-developers] TiddlyWiki follow-up
Kimmo, Thanks for trying. I investigated further and learned that saving changes to the file locally is very browser dependent. - In IE some sort of Active X is used - The Firefox code "delves into the internals of the browser" At any rate, the desktop solution is to use an Opera-specific mod that involves Java (see http://my.opera.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=91372 for details). There's a plug-in that allows Safari to save changes, and perhaps this would work with the GTK+Webcore browser in the 770. Or perhaps the author of TiddlyWiki will accede to the pleas to integrate Opera support. At any rate, the microcontent approach of TiddlyWiki seems very well suited to the Internet Tablet approach. Take a look at tiddlywiki.com and see for yourself (and thanks to John Holmblad for bringing this to my attention on this list). I could not do exactly as the instructions say because "right click" (long press with stylus) menu does not have "Save link as.." or similar option. I tried by saving it manually but then it pops up dialog "it's not possible to save changes using this browser" when I press the save changes link of the local copy. However the TiddlyWikiTutorial site says it may not work with Opera, which the 770 will come with. The TiddlyWiki.com site says only Firefox, IE 6 and Safara can save changes. Without that feature, TiddlyWiki isn't really useful. Perhaps someone with a device could visit tiddlywiki.com and try to save changes (well, clicking that in the sidebar will give you instructions on how to save things to a file to which changes can be saved). I have forgotten this possibility, I already thought I must build it myself from source. Find package which contains a file: dpkg -S List files in a package: dpkg -L Thanks a lot! I didn't know that this is also possible with dpkg. Cheers, Timo ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
Re: [maemo-developers] automake
Hi, If you are using sb 1.0 series there is an environment variable for this called SBOX_DEFAULT_AUTOMAKE. Take a look at the variables list: variables for 1.0 -series: http://viewcvs.scratchbox.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/scratchbox/doc/variables.txt?rev=1.18&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup With sb 0.9.8 you have to use SBOX_REDIRECT_BINARIES environment variable. I'm not totally sure it works though... variables for 0.9.8 -series: http://viewcvs.scratchbox.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/scratchbox/doc/variables.txt?rev=1.11.2.1&only_with_tag=SBOX_0_9_8_5&content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup - Veli Mankinen On Fri, Aug 26, 2005 at 11:24:54AM +0200, Timo Steuerwald wrote: > Hi all, > > In the package db is only an automake1.8 package available, but on > command line I can see that also automake-1.4 and 1.7 is installed. Available versions are 1.4, 1.7 and 1.8 (default). SBOX_DEFAULT_AUTOCONF Specifies which autoconf version the 'autoconf' command points to. Yes, the bugzilla structure may feel strange if you're used to GNOME bugzilla. Anyway, gtk+ would be part of Hildon application framework (haf) and ui-toolkit (or general if you're feeling lazy.) https://maemo.org/bugzilla/enter_bug.cgi?product=haf&component=ui-toolkit > In the patch applied to gtknotebook.c, an ideal_tab_width is computed > by dividing the width by the number of visible tabs, which can be zero. > > Having > > - ideal_tab_width = (total_width / n); > + ideal_tab_width = n?0:(total_width / n); > > or something similar is necessary. Thanks, we have this already fixed in the subversion repository. The forthcoming maemo release will be including this and many other bugfixes. In the meantime, just don't do that then ;) -- Tommi Komulainen<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers
[maemo-developers] automake
Hi all, In the package db is only an automake1.8 package available, but on command line I can see that also automake-1.4 and 1.7 is installed. It seems that both version come from autotools-dev package On common debian systems there is an automake. package for each version. IMHO because of 1.4 and 1.7 are installed in /scratchbox/tools/autotools, I can also not use update-alternatives: [sbox-SDK_PC: /] > update-alternatives --config automake There is only 1 program which provides automake (/usr/bin/automake-1.8). Nothing to configure. Is there already a package out there for automake 1.6? Is there a site like http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages or http://packages.ubuntu.com/ or - instead of this - apt-file where I can see which file belongs to which package?
