Two days? From summary log I can see that it started today at 16:10. Is
this another build?

It seems that qemu stucks when calling tclsh.

According to current log:
https://garage.maemo.org/builder/diablo/db_4.6.21-8maemo1/build.log it's
stuck when doing some testing. Can you disable this and reupload package
for the build? Another way is to change qemu again, but I'm not sure
it's better.

Re: Hildon on new devices

2007-07-20 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Thanks, for your links

but in the site that you suggest I can't find reference to the ARM platform.
My device is based on an Omap processor like the Nokia devices but with
different
peripheral. For example I have a 5" display with a resolution of 640*480, no
wi-Fi but a wired 10/100 ethernet interface.
With this display restriction is possible, use Hildon ?
Thank

Writing proper thread titles isn't hard, and it is _very_ helpful to
people to subscribe to many lists. Please continue this discussion off

Try next:
# mount
/dev/mmcblk1p1 on /media/mmc1 type vfat
(rw,noauto,nodev,noexec,nosuid,utf8,uid=2,shortname=mixed,dmask=000,fmask=0133)

If you get "noexec" you cannot run binaries from mmc.
Try to run from other location. (/home/user, /tmp, ...)

Greetings.

Install xterm and and start the executable from the terminal

You can transfer the executable any way you like, but I would recommend scp
it's just so easy.

You need to make a binary for the armel arch, so, you can compile the
example inside an armel target in sbox. Then, you can copy it to the
device and just run it.

Greetings.

Could you specify which tutorial has the broken link? To install the
maemo-examples package, you have to have lines:

deb http://repository.maemo.org/ bora free non-free
deb-src http://repository.maemo.org/ bora free

In your scratchbox's /etc/apt/sources.list and run 'apt-get update'
before 'apt-get source maemo-examples'. Files of the example packages
can also be found in:
https://staging.maemo.org/svn/maemo/projects/tools/trunk/maemo_testing/maemo-examples/

They don't however include an example of making Debian package at the
moment. For that you can refer to the examples of
 Hildon Desktop Plugins
howto
(http://maemo.org/development/documentation/how-tos/3-x/tutorial_desktop_plugins_bora.html),
 which also includes files for autotools. These however differ a bit for
plugins and standalone programs.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Jami ,
from the maemo home follow the Development link and from here click Example on
the

In how-tos section in "Making a package for the Application Manager in maemo
3.x " link to hello-world-app_0.4.tar.gz. doesn't exist.

Just another small question, We are working on an

 OMAP 2430 processor, and linux. To develop this task we have purchased a pair

Can i use maemo, eventually modifying source code, on my device ?

Re: [maemo-developers] N800 as a webcam

2007-01-11 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Why do it via USB when you have both bluetooth and
WiFi? There are a number of fairly lame
self-contained net/web cameras and most run some kind
of embedded Linux. I assume you could put some kind
of web-server with a live video object or a
refreshing gif/png/jpeg (and more interesting things
with the new GPS API).

Even if you do use USB, a network device would work.

This is actually the sort of thing I am thinking of
doing with other hardware (but the N800 is a very
good match in many ways based on the specifications).

(xserver-xephyr 6.6.1-0ubuntu1).

I have a problem illustrated by the code of the following expose callback:

scrWidget->background and scrWidget->pixmap are 2 pixmaps.
scrWidget->pixmap contains scribbles rendered on mouse down and mouse move
events.

when i comment out the drawing of one of the 2 pixmaps, the other get displayed
correctly.

when i combine them using GDK_AND it works when launching Xephyr from its
location inside scratchbox (as provided by the Maemo 1.1 i386 tarball)

when i combine them using GDK_AND it does not work when launching Xephyr from
my Ubuntu host (Xephyr has been installed using apt-get install)
what i get displayed is the content of the scrWidget->pixmap (black scribbles
on a white background) which does not blend with the background pixmap at all.

in both cases the Xephyr command line used is:
Xephyr :2 -host-cursor -screen 800x480x16 -dpi 96 -ac

i don\'t know if the detail is usefull or not but when launching Xephyr from
the scratchbox path (/scratchbox/users/guardian/targets/SDK_PC/usr/bin/Xephyr),
it opens up with a white background

when launching Xephyr from the ubuntu host path (/usr/bin/Xephyr), it opens up
with a traditional \"checkboard\" background, which makes me thinkg that
somehow the configuration is not exactly the same.

so ... am I doing something wrong in my code ? or is there something to
configure on my Xephyr ubuntu installation ???

gboolean callbackExpose(GtkWidget* widget, GdkEventExpose* event,
ScribbleWidget* scrWidget)
{
  GdkGC* gc = gdk_gc_new(widget->window);

  gdk_draw_drawable(widget->window,
widget->style->fg_gc[GTK_WIDGET_STATE(widget)],
scrWidget->background,
event->area.x,
event->area.y,
event->area.x,
event->area.y,
event->area.width,
event->area.height);

  gdk_gc_copy(gc,widget->style->fg_gc[GTK_WIDGET_STATE(widget)]);
  gdk_gc_set_function(gc,GDK_AND);

  gdk_draw_drawable(widget->window,
gc,
scrWidget->pixmap,
event->area.x,
event->area.y,
event->area.x,
event->area.y,
event->area.width,
event->area.height);

  g_object_unref(gc);

  return FALSE;
}

Thx for any help.
Regards,
G.

[maemo-developers] Mono : HttpWebRequest in c# my nokia 770 (mono-nokia 1.1.13-1)

2006-03-23 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED] marc bordessoule1

Hello,

 I try to use HttpWebRequest
in c#/Mono on my nokia 770 (in fact, I want to use Web Services). The first part of the below
program which use TcpClient() works very well: I can get a page from a distant
server.But with the second part,
which use HttpWebRequest, fails with a 'time out" exception at the
request.GetResponse() : …Unhandled Exception:
System.Net.WebException: The request timed outin <0x001b8>
System.Net.HttpWebRequest:EndGetResponse (IAsyncResult asyncResult)in <0x0007f> System.Net.HttpWebRequest:GetResponse
()in <0x003df>
Http.Requete:Main (System.String[] args)/ $

 I installed the
mono-nokia_1.1.13-1_arm.deb package and copied the 'machine.config' file to the
'/var/lib/install/usr/etc/mono/1.0/' directory.This program works very well
on windows with mono-1.1.13.

Is it a bug? Did i miss
something? Does somebody have any idea?

Thanks,

Marc.

Hi,

I'm working on that now :)

I'm planning to release a beta release ASAP together with python-dbus
modules for Python for Maemo.

Thanks,

I think no libosso bindings exist yet (but I could be wrong).  They
are on the list, tho.  If you decide to work on this yourself, please
let me know.

[maemo-developers] debconf talks available on dvd including wookies embedded debian talk

2005-09-14 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Hi,

on http://dc5video.debian.net/dvd/pal/ and
http://dc5video.debian.net/dvd/ntsc/ you'll find (still) preliminary
iso
images of the debconf5 dvds. Please test the ntsc-images (and give
feedback),
as I have no clue whether they work or not :-)

Those dvds are made with v0.12 of Ben's script.

All (given) talks are now online at
http://dc5video.debian.net/dvd/mpeg/ and
http://wiki.debian.net/?Debconf5Talks has been updated as well. (If you
gave
a talk, please check this page and send me a mail, if your slides are
missing
there.)

Final DVDs (with all talks) and ogg theoras will be available shortly.

RE: [maemo-developers] libsdl-image

This seems to be a bug on current SDK version.
Try to run "sbox-config -cc". It should fix the problem.

Hello fellows,

I'm trying to compile libsdl-image (1.2) on Maemo (i386 target) and all
I got is...

lib/libc.so.6: undefined reference to [EMAIL PROTECTED]'

It compiles fine in arm target. I've already have reset up my build
environment (reinstalling everything with Maemo v1.0) and the same
linker problem remains. Does anybody have any advice or magic trick?
