Hi To fully make use of the BlueZ stack, an application needs to run as root on the N770. Is there an easy way to make an application always run as "root" ? OR Is there an alternative for applications to access functions within the SDP without running as root. Hi Can anyone point us in the direction of examples that show how the Connectivity API is meant to used. Looking at the doc it seems like all that is required is "osso-ic.h" as an include file but we are unable to find the corresponding shared library. Is this actually implemented yet ? if not what option are there to create an application that talks to the internet ? [maemo-developers] application resources : Files and Icons
Hi How can we control where files are written to and where they are read from once a package has been installed. We would ask the same question of Icons. Whereas they are loaded from the same directory as the executable in Scratchbox, they are not being found anywhere once the package is installed. Hi When using the current ? osso-ic-6.h we are getting "undefined reference to `osso_ic_connection_new". "undefined reference to `osso_ic_connection_new" Anyone know what the dependency tree is ? Hi If the bluez Bluetooth stack is included with the N770 operating system one would assume that all bluez protocols and interfaces are supported without exception. This does not appear to be the case as certain HCI interface functions are not accessible from applications running on the N770. HiCan anyone point us in the direction of detailed D-BUS documentation ? (someexamples would be nice).We want to establish authenticated connections from the N770 to a bluetoothslave devices and read data from them.
