At one point you needed to reboot after performing a calibration for
changes to be noticed. There was a bug in Bugzilla that was closed at
some point, so I assume now there's a way to get it to reload without
rebooting, but I don't know what it is

Hi Andrew,

I would like to upload it to chinook-extras-devel, non-free category.

However, I was only able to find the instructions relating to
diablo-extras-devel:
https://wiki.maemo.org/Uploading_to_Extras#.22non-free.22_packages

Any clues to help me move forward?

Also, I am going to upload three .deb binary files to extras-devel, what
should the dput command be?

Is the below what I should use?

dput -uf chinook-extras-devel-non-free PACKAGE_VERSION_*.changes

If yes, what's the instruction for generating the
PACKAGE_VERSION_*.changes file?

Sounds good. Some questions/comments:

  * Is it in Extras? (Or Extras-devel for testing)[1]
  * Needs screenshots
  * Is it on downloads.maemo.org?

Is this an end-user release, or are you looking for
developers/power-users to test and help get it into a state for the
above?

Cheers,

Andrew

You can use libplayback. I define a context where the application
described its type and you register a callback for getting preemption

You should install .desktop file to /usr/share/applications/hildon
direactory and put "X-Osso-Service=hellox", "Exec=/usr/bin/hellox", and
put "hellox" as your WM_CLASS.

Hi, everyone. I've got problem on accessing detailed info of user-saved
connections in maemo. In my maemo environment, a WLAN conection with
specified SSID has been created. In my program, an adhoc network with
that SSID should be established first. So my idea is to find such a
connection and connect it using libconic API. However, libconic APIs
don't seem to provide the detailed info of a connection, e.g. the SSID
name of a connection(Though it does tell me the ID of IAP, the ID is
just like a serial number which makes no sense to me). And I don't know
how to get it now. Anyone could help me out? Thanks in advance:)

in garage, is it possible to configure a project so as to allow only registered garage users to download my application?

2008-12-18 Thread Alex T. W. LEUNG
Hi maemo team,

Here is my wish:
- my project will be visible to all. However, as soon as the end-user
wanting to download my debian package, I want the garage web site to
force the end-user to login, before the end-user can download the
package.
- the web site can record down which registered user has downloaded my
application, allowing me to send notifications to them on a needed basis
in the future.

Are the aforementioned wish items already implemented in garage? Thanks
in advance for your reply!
