Problem with CSSU update

2013-01-13 Thread Kaj-Michael Lang
Hi

I'm trying to install the latest CSSU updates but it insist on requiring
me to install from a PC. It's never done that before. Disk space should
not be an issue, plenty of free space available on the device.

What do I need to tweak to get around this ?

A recent glib (2.32) release changed how threads are handled, there is
no need to initialize threads anymore. But if you are using an old glib
then threads needs to still be initialized. Not maemo specific.

Maybe someone already noticed, but somebody has uploaded a new curl

Yes, builds fine now after fixing the duplicate field. Thanks for the

now.

You can connect to gpsd using a normal socket connection, gpsd listens
on localhost:2947
By default it speaks gpsd protocol, but you can switch it to raw NMEA by
sending a proper command, "r+" (+ "\r\n"). Then you can parse the NMEA
messages yourself for whatever gps data you need for your application.

You should be able to use statvfs or fstatvfs (see "man statvfs").

Using your own custom kernel or is there some other way to enable proper

AFAIK this is a new package, supplying the proper headers so the common
sharing dialog system (or whatever it's called) can be used without any
hacks.

You need to initialize the glib type system before using the gtk/glib
functions. Put "g_type_init();" somewhere in your code before using any
other functions.
