I think we can be fairly confident that the Internet Tablet 2006 software edition will be an incremental update on the Linux-based Internet Tablet 2005 software edition.

I think, the upgrade might be adding more libraries (hildonize'd
libraries) to the existing set, something like SIP (rfc-3261)
implementations, so that developers could use them... ofcourse, apps
related to voip might also be added

... it might be, not sure. Nokia guys can confirm this... Amit... :)

Yes. People who buy the 770 with Internet Tablet 2005 software edition
should be able to upgrade to the Linux-based Internet Tablet 2006
software edition.
