I also use this keyboard and love it. I have not had the problem you describe.
The keyboard does power itself off after a short time, which can be annoying.
It also powers down just to start folding it. It /almost/ always reconnects by
pressing the power button. Every once in a while, it does not, and I have to
use the bluetooth icon that appeared by installing the drivers.

When I turn on the keyboard, it usually just says "device connected" and that
is that. I have noticed that if the screen has gone black and I turn the
keyboard on without "waking up" the device, it will not be connected until I
click on the Bluetooth icon. I always try to remember to interrupt the
screen/power saver before I turn on the keyboard.

Just a 'me too'. I notice this happening about 3 nights out of 4. At
night I always switch off the N800. In the morning, when I pack my bag
for the day I tap the screen to see if it is still off. Then switch it
off at that time if it is.

I was beginning to wonder if it was just me. It usually is.

Anyhow, I have also checked to make sure that there is no alarm set

Is there any way to see what's causing this to try and prevent it from

I get these occasionally and can't quite figure out what is triggering
it. I often go to sleep with the N800 plugged in and Canola playing
some music, sometimes I leave Gizmo running and I may or may not leave
the wifi connection going. Sometimes I get woken up by the boot screen
chimes :] I doesn't happen only during the night though so I don't
think that it is a time thing. I have heard it rebooting in my jacket
pocket during the day too.

I will look for a trend but I haven't noticed it happening lately. I
did capture the bootreason and various other files after it happened
one time. I can dig that up. It didn't give a specific app but it
mentioned the dsp.

I may have to try the command line. The one I use is MyPasswordSafe, but it
has not been updated in quite some time.

http://www.semanticgap.com/myps/

I see from the psafe pages that there are some other versions out, I'll have to
try them.

The biggest ioncompatibility is that the Linux one is only in tree mode, and
has no flat mode, which is a problem, since not all my passwords are
categorized logically. Also, the usernames do not always appear on the
entries, although the passwords are always there, and I can usually figure out
the password.

I don't know anything at all :-) I just remember I was pleasantly

Judging from past release dates and the corresponding firmware build dates
there is usually 6 to 8 weeks QA time between build and release.

I tend to leave WLAN off during daytime (to conserve battery), and I
usually not bother bringing it up before I plug in my N800 to charge
during the night.

I cannot guarantee it absolutely, but I think wlan was off during the
last couple of times when my N800 rebooted itself.

I tend to leave WLAN off during daytime (to conserve battery), and I
usually not bother bringing it up before I plug in my N800 to charge
during the night.

I cannot guarantee it absolutely, but I think wlan was off during the
last couple of times when my N800 rebooted itself.

My guess is the WLAN. IIRC, there was rebooting problems that were
caused by just leaving the WLAN connection idle. Fortunately, the next
SW release should fix those.

That's likely. I upgraded several megs' worth of software during the
last several days.

Mine does something similar. It doesn't reboot *every* night, but it

I'd love to know.

(Disabling lifeguard resets with the flasher does not count.
Besides, I don't think it disables the watchdog.)

It disables the SW watchdog, but 32_wd is the HW watchdog.

I've never encountered this reboot. Had you been doing a lot of disk
operations (*both* saving and removing large amounts of data from the
internal Flash) before the night on which the device reboots?

My suspicion is that sometimes the JFFS2 file system garbage collecting
might keep the kernel busy for >1/2 minute without yielding the control
back to scheduler. Normally the JFFS2 GC happens only on bootup (in
case you were wondering why the booting is sometimes slower), but
it can be run also during normal usage. HW watchdog reboots the
device if it's not refreshed within 1/2 min (in the JFFS2 case the
device would probably unfreeze / function normally after GC has
finished).

My N800 has been restarting each night sometime after 2am EST (that's

Did someone succeed in using the "Nokia Internet Call Invitation"? :-)

How about the gtalk2voip.com gateway? For me the tablet client gets a
disconnect whenever I try to "call sip:[EMAIL PROTECTED]" via the

I use Password Safe. The Maemo port is not fully sane (e.g., when you
add a new entry, you get a read-only view dialog first and have to press
the "edit" button to actually enter something), but it works.

Isn't there some GNOME database app that could be ported? How about
