Thanks, man.

I had just thought of that when I sent the message.  I kept the battery
out for a bit to make sure it was reset.

My n810 is working again.  It got caught up when running an mplayer avi.

You'll find it in the e2fsprogs package.

I don't think it appeared in the list of installable packages in my package 
manager, but "apt-get install e2fsprogs" did the job for me.
