Reboot loop on N810

2009-02-04 Thread Laurent GUERBY
Hi,

My N810 after updating three applications failed (no blue pill, no rd
mode) entered a reboot loop, the boot progress bar goes up to 90%
then the screen goes black then boot again, in loop until I remove
the battery.

Any way to get out of this loop by pressing magic keys? I don't have the
usb cable handy for reflash.

Thanks in advance,

Laurent

Hi

I observe actually the same problem as you on my N810

And I am looking for :

- finding what is happening
- finding how to solve the problem

What you can do :

- First reflash the tablet

There is no other way to restart

In the flasher you can enable the expert mode that avoid the reboot loop

I wish you good luck and if I find the origin of the problem ( I have a pist
but I have to check )
I will let you know

Didier

scite no keyboard

2009-02-04 Thread Hendrik Boom
I installed scite on my 800 (using the application manager, I believe).
Looking at the menus, it's probably a fairly good programming editor.
But it doesn't activate the on-screen keyboard. This would probably be
fine on ghe N810, but it seems to be a show-stopper on the N800.

Or does anyone have other suggestions for a program editor?

And if you push the center button of the N800 for the fullscreen

I finally reflashed.

No one proposed another way so far.

And if you push the center button of the N800 for the fullscreen

Do you mean the little square button with rounded corners that's
surrounded by a square four-way rocker?

Or the rectangular one marked with a little box with an arow coming out
of it to the right?

Or the one on the top edge between the + one and the - one?

I can't find a button on the n800 that gives me a keyboard. I tried them
all. Or is there one I can't find to push? Am I looking for the wrong
kind of button?

The center button of the direction pad usually gives you a fullscreen keyboard.

 Regards,

No such luck here.

That is the squarish button in the middle of the bigger squarish button
just to the left of the top of the screen when it's held in landscape
mode, isn't it?

I press it short or long, and nothing happens.
