Re: Skype for SIP + N800/N810 - Does it Work?
Jonathan, my assumption is that if Skype for Business is designed to work with a PBX that supports SIP trunking then it MAY also work with a softclient that utilizes SIP, such as the one provided with the N000/N810 OS. Meeting minutes editor with calender support
Hi all, I am trying to position my N810 as a meeting notes editor. I attend a lot of meetings during the day and I want to keep my notes on N810. With the GPE suite, I can synchronise with Google Calender which I also synchronise through Google Synchroniser over Blackberry with my Outlook events. The only missing part is to keep the notes of the meetings related to the calender event. I tried many text editors but I can't keep track of calender entries. Is there any solution anyone can recommend for me? Cheers -- Burak ILGICIOGLU Rodney Dangerfield - I haven't spoken to my wife in years. Are you wanting to have the note files attached to calendar entries, or what? There are numerous ways to organize your notes files so they'll be easily accessible and in the same order as calendar entries, but if you're wanting to keep the files attached to the calendar itself I'm afraid you're out of luck. The description field allows some space if you want to put notes in the calendar entry itself. I imagine that Skype for SIP Beta is the next logical step after Skype for Asterix. So do the mobile Skype clients share bandwidth like the desktop versions do? I wouldn't think they would but I've only tcpdumped traffic from Mac and Win clients... AFAIK, the Linux and Mac desktop clients (2.x) do not have options to turn off p2p bandwidth sharing but it's been several months since I bothered to look. -Gary ___ maemo-users mailing list maemo-users@maemo.org https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-users

It appears to 'drive' a proper Skype desktop client from a SIP interface - so your regular SIP phone (IT, desk phone, anything) will connect to SipToSis using SIP, then that will relay to Skype. I think you can do this without Asterisk, you just need to be running the relay somewhere. I'm not sure what security is possible if you run it somewhere publicly accessible - although some answers are at http://www.mhspot.com/sts/siptosis_faq.html Nick ___ maemo-users mailing list maemo-users@maemo.org https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-users
