Re: how to update Nokia N810 to maemo 5

2010-06-07 Thread Samer Azmy
now I have a question
1) Why Nokia do that to us ? it is a modern device and they kill it in less
than two years
2) is that customer oriented attitude from Nokia ?
3) is Nokia an Ethical company , specially that we have seen the same
scenario with N770

Kind Regards
Samer

Re: Fwd: N900 is hot when charged & sucks battery life after updating to PR1.2

2010-06-07 Thread khalid khan
Dear Kimmo,

How do i close all (which ever is using more % CPU) application by command
in X Terminal. I am new to this.
Because when I write top in X Terminal it pulls all the processes running &
i cannot do anything later,If click on the scroll keys up & down it keeps
scrolling & get backs to same. I cannot find page end to type anything
there.

Also the on screen key like Ctrl , Esc, Page Up , Page Down doesn't seems to
help.

Is there any other way to close this more % CPU apps to close.

Regards,
Khalid

You can't.

But there is a community effort to make sure MeeGo is ported to the N8x0:
http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/N8x0

Hopefully in the near future there can be a MeeGo 1.x on the N810.

Thanks for your reply.I typed " top " in X Terminal there are so many
processes running some are using less 10 - 30 % & few are using 70 - 80% &
very hard to recognize the path & don't know exactly what are these & how to
close it.

Is there any short key to turn off un-necessary processes.

Hi Tero,

I think there might be a confusion here. Bug 5445 is about the menu opened when
pressing on the status area (I don't know it's official name), not the
application menu displayed when pressing on the application title. When in
phone portrait mode, the application menu works well, but if you press on the
status areas where the battery and wifi status is shown (between others), then
nothing happens.

You can only reopen if you either have sufficient editbugs permissions
or if you are the reporter him/herself.

> Could someone setup the bugzilla so as reopening them is possible ?

That would mean giving out permissions to everybody and I don't like
that idea (and setting separate permissions for everybody only for
reopening RESOLVED FIXED status would require some code changes).

However, comments added to reports (like "Not fixed in PR1.2 for me")
are read (even if it might take a few days because of the amount of new

Are you logged in in Bugzilla?

Right under the comment field, there are the radio buttons for changing the
