The timezone files in /usr/share/zoneinfo are missing, except for
Europe/Helsinki.

Adding this files from one of my other Linux boxes, and then
establishing the correct /etc/localtime allows the desktop clock to be
correct - however then the times as displayed in the main Time
application (wherein you select your city) are incorrect.

I would say that:
1) it is a bug that the desktop clock does not track the either the
"home city" or "destination city".

2) It is a bug that the time zone files are missing.

I would *also* say it is annoying that, should you not live in one of
the hardwired cities, that there is no easy way to define the city in
which you live.

As some of you may have noticed, the maemo team has a dedicated QA
person handling bugs reported in maemo bugzilla in a more proper fashion
starting last week. We need to start from somewhere, somewhere means
bugs which are in the NEW state. This work is done in oldest-first
prority and bug number 225 will be reached shortly.

On behalf of the team,

Maybe someone tried to fix
https://maemo.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=225 and did not do it
completely. I don't know, as discussed on maemo-devel the bug reports
currently are a one way communication channel and I have no idea what
the state of this bug is. I think I tracked it down nicely, but no
response yet.

I have set the home city as Madrid, Spain. I think it is an issue with

A number of people reported it in the Internet Tablet Talk forums:

[maemo-users] Bug in clock with the last firmware

2006-04-21 Thread Israel Herraiz
Hi,

I just installed the last firmware (released yesterday), and it seems
that there is a bug in the clock application.

Furthermore, if I use the clock application (with the world map), in all
