Does anyone have Cingular DUN working with a MediaNet connection? Is there a limitation with tethering? How would they even know... I have it working with an LG CU320 and a Sony Ericson T616 Access Point Name: ISP.CINGULAR Dial-up Number: *99***1# Username: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Password: CINGULAR1 In Advanced, I have Allow Plain Text Login and Use PPP Compression both ticked. Finally got this working... I power cycled my phone and had to delete pairing from both devices... Ah the simple things. I used the connection manager to set up Cingular, but changed ISP to WAP in both lines as you have below which are the preferred names for MediaNet. think the ISP is if you have the internet plan or whatever it is currently called. [maemo-users] Cingular DUN with MediaNet?
I have tried many different iterations, but to no avail... I am trying to connect my Nokia E61 to the Nokia 770 and while they paired quickly, I am unable to get a cellular data connection to work. I've tried various combos of both WAP and ISP @CINGULARGPRS etc... used various dialing strings like *9***#1 I've got nothing here... it's killing me.Does anyone have Cingular DUN working with a MediaNet connection? Is there a limitation with tethering? Wish I was - sounds like it was quite easy for you. I just tried your settings using the mobile phone operator, but am getting the same Connection to Phone failed message.
