Hi George, I have something similar. I was loving using 2006 Beta for a couple of hours. Then I added a mail account. It retrieved mail the first time and then spontaneously rebooted. Since then, it will boot into the "normal" OS screen, I see it trying to check email (the email/chat/IM icon on the left flashes a different color twice) and then it reboots within 5 seconds. Unfortunately I have no way of getting to any settings before the reboot, so I have no way to switch this off or delete the account. I guess the only thing I can do is reflash the device (which seems *really dumb*) to me. I wish there was some sort of "safe startup" or recovery console so I could just fix it. :-( Definitely a bug for the Nokia people to look at. [maemo-users] Constantly rebooting.
Hi all, I have 2006 beta installed and up until yesterday it was working pretty good. Now when I turn it on it will reboot in just after the screen dims or if I touch any icon on the side such as Web or Email or the menu. Sometimes I can get the menu open and run control panel but... The last thing I remember doing is trying to add a second account to the email app. Anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to restore my 770 if after scp'n a big file to my 770 I now have it constantly restarting? Can I use the flasher to restore it?
