Re: [maemo-users] Nokia Internet Tablet as Penetration Testing Device

2007-02-09 Thread Acadia Secure Networks

Rick,

I have not yet tried to install/use Kismet on the N800 but I am
interested in seeing whether a useful security auditor's toolkit could
be implemented for the N800 that incorporates a useable subset of the
Backtrack toolkit (

ncluding the wireless tools. Are you aware of any security groups
working on such a product?

Best Regards,

I was browsing the repository directory on the train and it looked like the
latest was January... I did not add the repository so my install failed as
well with out the related files.

Did you try installing from a Web download or did you setup the
repository? You're probably missing some dependencies.
Setup this repository:

   -

   *Repository*: [image: [WWW]] http://eko.one.pl/maemo

   *Distribution*: mistral
   *Component*: user

Note that the N800 is bora, but the port was made for mistral. This will
still work, but it's recommended you disable the repository after
installing.

If that doesn't work, in application manager, please clear your install
log, attempt the install, and then view the log for detailed error
reporting. (Clear first so it's easier to find your errors)
