2007-01-11 Thread Wahlau -

Yeah i read that too... but i do not know whether did he actually
achieved that, or he hope to achieve it.

the AWTExample file i found on the internettablet.com forum worked
(almost) and i can see AWT window and buttons. speed wise... around 10
secs before i get it loaded. I would say for a simple software, it is
slow but bearable.

I got similar results. The reason I checked the plugin is that the page
mentions the need for minimo browser and that he could now use his nokia with
his online banks java applications.

worked (pretty well) as far as i am concerned.

i have however not tested/tried about any plugin for browser... have
no blinking idea about this at all.. anyone else?

speed wise i can sense its lag (as compared to a centrino. LOL) but
from the ipaq linux experience it is still quite acceptable.

There was beta port for Sharp Zaurus from Sun years ago. It was almost
full Java, not complete j2se but so called Personal Profile (including

I don't know that I would want JavaSE on the 770 as it would be too
heavy (which I think is what all the browser plugins use) but JavaME
(Mobile Edition) would be excellent. Its the version that runs on all
the various smart phones that support Java (like the blackberry) and
would allow us to use all the large amount of mobile java applications
out there. The 2 in particular that would be very is is Google's
Mobile GMaps (google.com/gmm) and the mobile gmail client.
