Thank you, Marius: 2007/12/29, Marius Gedminas <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > > In gconf, under /system/osso/connectivity/IAP/. I've found it in /var/lib/gconf/system/osso/connectivity/IAP/Movistar@ [EMAIL PROTECTED]/\%gconf.xml Why do you need it? Just to compare it with the configuration in my Debian Desktop... but it doesn't work the same... In most PPP setups this is all in /etc/ppp/* but I have seen some (RH? non-Deb) setups where the dialer details were in /etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles, and even some old ones were in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ppp-up and similar. ///Peter ___ maemo-users mailing list maemo-users@maemo.org https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-users

Hi, there: I need some information, maybe somebody could help me on this... I need to know where's the configuration file for the bluetooth connection between the 770 and the mobile phone. In my debian PC it is in /etc/wvdial.conf, but 770 doesn't use wvdial, so that I assume that it is some ppp file. Though I've yet not been able to find the one I'm looking for. I need the configuration file where it appears the line Phone=*99#... Thank you. Sebas. ___ maemo-users mailing list maemo-users@maemo.org https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-users
Re: Internet connection via mobile phone
Thank you all, finally I got it... with 'wvdial'... I've explained the solution in: http://www.esdebian.org/forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=112737 I'm very happy :) 2007/12/21, Gary <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > > On Thu, 20 Dec 2007, sebastian maemo wrote: > > > As both of them are Debian systems, is there a way to copy one > > configuration into the other system? I would check on the support list/newsgroup/message board for answers to your question. I know that OS X has similar functionality built in but I haved explored the idea on any of the desktop distros I use as I don't use them on a notebook. -Gary ___ maemo-users mailing list maemo-users@maemo.org https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-users
Internet connection via mobile phone
Hi everybody: I'm truly happy about how my little 770 connects to Internet via my Nokia mobile phone. It's really easy, transparent and fast... I've got a bit OFF-TOPIC question about that: I've installed Debian in my laptop (just because Debian is installed in my 770, and I like very much how it works)... Now I would like to do the same with my laptop: I would like it to connect to Internet via my Nokia mobile phone, just like 770 does. As both of them are Debian systems, is there a way to copy one configuration into the other system? What are the minimal packages that I should install in my Debian laptop in order to work as good as my 770?
