Re: [Mageia-dev] Importing vdr
On vendredi 08 avril 2011 at 15:47, Oliver Burger wrote : yesterday I had the bright idea to import vdr into Mageia, since I do use it at home. Great! But it turns out, it is a bit much for me, meaning, building vdr packages is quite some complicated stuff, when I try and read the lmost 800 line spec file. So it would be nice if someone (Funda, you did those packges on Mdv iirc) would help me (or take over and I would try to help him/her). Can't help you on the packaging, but I will test when you have something packaged. -- Renaud Michel

So you don't have to wait for libreoffice to finish to submit new packages.
[Mageia-dev] openjdk and icedtea-web
As you may have noticed the java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin package (which came from the java-1.6.0-openjdk src.rpm) is gone with the latest java-1.6.0-openjdk in cauldron. The openjdk plugin has been replaced by the icedtea-web which has been imported in the cauldron repos (spec stole^W borrowed from Fedora), the if you already had the java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin package, icedtea-web will replace it automatically and hopefully there should be no update/upgrade problems. (This is mostly just a heads up for the benefit of where did the java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin package go?; icedtea-web provides java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin so urpmi will pull the package, but no java-1.6.0-openjdk-plugin will show up in rpmdrake). -- Ahmad Samir

I had to disable CD-ROM core media, as it has 1.7.2-2 on it. Regards, Dave Hodgins
