Nothing specific. There are several new features, but in this case I'm most interested in ensuring things are stable. So really I'm looking for any test cases where things used to work and now don't. This may be related to hardware I don't have etc., so this is the tricky bit for me testing personally! You'll have to remove e.g. padevchooser (if it's left over from a previous Mandriva install - we don't provide it in Mga) and libpulsebrowse package as these have been deprecated. After reboot the same except that the mic does not work anymore. Another thing: when I plugin headset the mic and output work, internal speakers are off. When I unplug the headset, neither mic nor speakers are working (although the settings in PA configuration are ok). I have to restart PA to get back sound. This plugin, plugout worked before. -- wobo

You should also ensure that no applications are running that are using the /dev/snd/pcm* devices, e.g. with the fuser command above, you should kill off amarok before trying to start PA. Well i pushed a rebuild of 1.6.6b but i guess it won't work since the 1.7.6 build locally(in iurt) is also failing with the same error.
