It seems the rpmlint checks I added to detect (and prevent upload of)
files in /var/run and in /etc/udev/rules.d etc. are not working.

Can someone see if I've done something wrong?

The file distribution.error.list from rpmlint-mageia-policy is not used
by the buildsystem to reject uploads. Instead it is using a list of
rpmlint errors defined in youri configuration. I added them now :
  http://svnweb.mageia.org/adm/puppet/modules/buildsystem/templates/youri/submit-upload.conf?r1=2928r2=2963

Maybe we could change it to use distribution.error.list file instead.

 Awesome, thanks.

Will this affect mga2 builds too? It shouldn't there so hopefully there
 is no conflict :)

Hmm, actually it probably applies to Mageia 2 builds too. I will try to
change this.

It builds OK in iurt locally and basic functional tests are OK.

[Mageia-dev] Freeze push: sir 2.5.1

2013-01-14 Thread Pierre-Malo Deniélou

Please push sir, which I updated to version 2.5.1.
I has some bug fixes and a few new features that we want and that are
not too risky to put in for Mageia 3 (since nothing depends on sir).

I tested the install and usability.

Complete Changelog:
- relative path bug-fix
- project moved to CMake
- Conditional compilation: disable or enable metadata support
- Settings and DetailsBrowser classes added
- Image width and height line edit replaced by spin box
- faster selection using Exiv2 image size detection if it’s available
- bugfix: delete selected items from list in ConvertDialog - now delete
all selected items

- shared data manipulation methods moved to SharedInformation;
- save and enabled fields in MetadataUtils::Metadata removed - now used
Settings fields

- DetailsOptions namespace moved to separated file
- widgets moved to separated directory
- option and selection dialogs splited to few widgets for more flexibility
- remove temporary files at end of session
- width of SVG images render in DetailsBrowser patch
- drop event improved
- myQTreeWidget renamed to TreeWidget, some code moved from ConvertDialog
- external columns into tree view like size (px,K/MiB) added
- new options group box “File list” and header view context menu for
TreeWidget settings

- converting from SVG bug when dest size is more than default size fixed
- keep aspect ratio added to settings
- English translation added, Polish translation updated

 anything or login into textmode.

 Anyone please check it?

Chances are some package has written /run/nologin file.

This can happen if you run systemd-tmpfiles --create which perhaps
some package might still do in it's %post

A reboot should clear out this problem. I'm not 100% sure but I think
root logins should also still be allowed even with a nologin file...
could be wrong tho'.

I can't do reboot. The system will become responseless if I gave

So are you saying that you cannot login, but you also cannot reboot?

Is that not a stale mate or catch 22 situation?

Well, after that I gave up and reinstall it back to alpha3.

I know it's weird, but that's what I get.

If I do reboot, the system sill be stalled before entering reboot sequence.

Hardware button seems to work, but at that time I got mad and reinstall it

 Hi,

If it works fine after installing with --nodeps, maybe we could add
qtwebkit provides in the matching package.
Do you know if this application is linked against libQtWebKit.so.4?

It seems to work fine on opensuse ignoring the dependency

Trying here the %post complains about missing service atd but then runs fine

We do need some more people at the booth and we should know, how many
people we will be for Saturday night's dinner.
So if you are planning to come, go to the wiki and register there.

Thanks,

I'll be there, but not h24 on the mageia stand :)

No one will be there all the time :)

Don't forget to register for the dinner!

[Mageia-dev] Missign rebuilds tagged mga1

2013-01-14 Thread JA Magallón

Hi...

As the mass rebuild seems almost done, I have supposed that everything in
my box not tagged ad mga3 are leftovers from previous installs, as I had
not reinstalled my box since mga1. I checked this:

rpm -qa --nosignature --qf %{n}-%{v}-%{r}\n | grep mga1 | sort

(I have another list for mga2 ;) )

But some packages seems to be needed, and skipped in the mass rebuild.
This is the list I get in my main box:

werewolf:~/bin# mga1
jline-0.9.94-4.mga1
lib64atlas3-x86_64-3.8.3-7.mga1
lib64iec16022_0-0.2.4-4.mga1
lib64jbig1-2.0-5.mga1
lib64jbig-devel-2.0-5.mga1
lib64mpeg2dec0-0.5.1-5.mga1
lib64opencore-amr0-0.1.2-3.mga1
net-tools-1.60-34.mga1
perl-Spreadsheet-ParseExcel-0.590.0-1.mga1
python-dateutil-1.5-2.mga1
transfugdrake-1.9.4-1.mga1

Some look pretty important:

jline - rhino - jdk7
net-tools - basesystem
transfugdrake - userdrake

... and so on.

Mirrors also seem to contain packages dated 2011. I will wait for mirrors to
settle
and look again. If they are dead packages, should not they be killed from
mirrors ?

TIA

back to alpha3.

Should I try to update without update the package rtkit?

According to the changelog, nothing big is changed.

seems it hasn't been rebuilded for a while and that at this time we
had markrelease issues see:
