- ToC Editor: Allow generating the ToC directly from individual files
inside the ebook. Useful for EPUBs that have individual chapters in
single files.
- ToC Editor: Add buttons to indent/unindent the current entry
- ToC Editor: Right-click menu to perform various useful actions on
entries in the ToC
- Column icons: Allow use of wide images as column icons
- Add USB ids for the Palm Pre2 and Samsung Galaxy phone to the device
drivers
- PDF Output: Fix generating page numbers causing links to not work.
- Wrong filename output in error message when 'Guide reference not found'
- Get Books: Update Amazon, Barnes Noble, Waterstones and Gutenberg
store plugins for website change
- PDF Output: Fix 1 pixel wide left and top margins on the cover page
for some PDF conversions due to incorrect rounding.
- ToC Editor: Fix drag and drop of multiple items resulting in the
dropped items being in random order sometimes.
- New news sources
- Automatic adding: When checking for duplicates is enabled, use the
same duplicates found dialog as is used during manual adding.
- ToC Editor: Allow searching to find a location quickly when browsing
through the book to select a location for a ToC item
- ToC Editor: Add a button to quickly flatten the entire table of contents
- Conversion: When converting a single book to EPUB or AZW3, add an
option to automatically launch the Table of Contents editor after the
conversion completes. Found under the Table of Contents section of the
conversion dialog.
- calibredb: Nicer error messages when user provides invalid input
- News download: Always use the .jpg extension for jpeg images as
apparently Moon+ Reader cannot handle .jpeg
- Fix Book Details popup keyboard navigation doesn't work on a Mac
- Fix a regression that caused the case of the book files to not be
changed when changing the case of the title/author on case insensitive
filesystems

There was one important bug fix that addresses an incorrect query result that
could have occurred in a three-way join where the join constraints compared
INTEGER columns to TEXT columns. This issue had been in the code for time
out of mind and had never before been reported, so we surmise that it is very
 obscure.

So, upstream suggests all users are advised to upgrade to avoid any future

wanted this. But when we checked the box to enable and use it, the installed
complained on not finding the xguest package, so it couldn't be enabled.

Shouldnt the xguest package be included on the iso media, if it hasn't been
added since mga2?

I planed to mention this when I got back from his place a few weeks ago, but I
forgot.

The package was removed some releases ago becaus of bugs using it. I
will rebuild test isos to check what is the status at the moment.

[Mageia-dev] Release critical bugs for Mageia 3

2013-03-15 Thread Anne Nicolas

Hi there

We are in the last run for Mageia 3 final release. We have postponed the
final release and added a beta 4 to give us some more time. The problem
is we *still* have 59 bugs in list... We *must* all focus on it. Fixing
bugs is for sure less fun than testing new versions and developing new
functionnalities. But we are also working for Mageia users and we want
to deliver a new version and make everybody happy with it.

So here is a review of these bugs:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ao3phYOTRNeQdEEtSjBSSWkxTmdIcmJZcGtfYjN1NVEusp=sharing

See the comments for each of them. We need help on testing, debugging
and fixing bugs. Everybody can help. Please add your name if you want to
help on one of them. Do not hesitate to ask any question here or on irc.

The first reviews are rather good on beta 3. Keep on the good work

Thanks all!

Officially we need 2 leaders for the team but I'd like to propose 3 of

What we should wait for these guys (and girls):

- organize regular meetings
- attend council meetings to represent packagers team
- moderate and organize discussions on -dev ML
- solve potential conflict between people in the team
- look for new comers and help to make them integrate mentoring process
- organize specifications and development for the coming releases

People should apply if they want to spend some time on these tasks. This
does not mean it's a full time job hopefully but it needs to spend some

[Mageia-dev] New planning for Mageia 3

2013-02-12 Thread Anne Nicolas
Hi there

Due to the current number of release critical bugs, it was decided on
monday during the council meeting to postpone the final release and
add a beta 4 release. Our main goal is to provide a stable system then
we need more time for it.

meeting logs:
http://meetbot.mageia.org/mageia-meeting/2013/mageia-meeting.2013-02-11-20.00.html
new planning:
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Mageia_3_development#Development_Planning

BTW unless there is a burning topic for tonight, let's have our next
meeting on 19th. We will then review the list of release critical
bugs.

Cheers

It is either persistent logging or logging in memory right? I assume
people won't understand that it'll log anyways, just in memory. So no
point in giving an option that does not do what people might expect.

Just one point about this. It was said during meeting that having
