Fair enough. I'm going to test the updated liblastfm with Amarok this

but if you've already tested it, go ahead and formally request a freeze push
 for these.
Hi,

well, I haven't, as I run neither Cauldron nor KDE. Any help with

The tarball has a different name, so I would have left lastfm-player alone
(as it should still work too), and packaged the new one as a new package.

Sure, the 1.x version still works for subscribers, but you are missing
the point:
1. the tarball was renamed from last.fm to Last.fm.
2. lastfm-player always was our name, not their's.
3. the of the binary was previously Last.fm, now it would have been
Last.fm Scrobbler but I have renamed it to Last.fm because mga2's
rpmbuild broke with the space in the name.
4. the name of the old program reported by X was Last.fm in 1.x and is
Last.fm Scrobbler in 2.1.33.

Also, the developers say the new one is kind of still getting feedback and
 kinks
worked out and so on, so I'd think it'd be better to have both available for
 now.
I don't think so. It is working fine so far, no need to keep two versions.

[Mageia-dev] Last.fm-Scrobbler

2013-02-01 Thread Götz Waschk
Dear Last.fm fans,

I have updated the lastfm-player package in svn to the latest upstream
version 2.1.33. It is working fine on my Mga2 notebook. What do you
think, can this still be included in Mga2? If so, who'd push it? It
has a dep on an updated version of liblastfm, so it would be advisable
to test if clementine and tomahawk still work with that.

the new version of totem-plugin-arte was uploaded to cauldron, please test
 it.
Finaly I could try it. Sound was missing because gstreamer1.0-faad was not
installed. Maybe totem-plugin-arte should also go to tainted media, and
 require faad?
Hi,

I'm answering to the dev list, I hope this is OK. You are right, the
faad support is required. I don't know how to move packages, can
someone help?
